LASER DIDACTIC COURSE
$1,120 for Pure Aesthetics students and alumni

This 40-hour laser didactic course includes theory covering disorders of the skin, principles of laser therapy, history of lasers, anatomy of the skin and hair, skin types, skin histology, laser physics, laser safety…and more!

HANDS-ON LASER COURSE
Hair Reduction and Other Cosmetic Procedures:
$4,800 for Pure Aesthetics students and alumni
$5,000 for licensed professionals and general public
This 48-hour, hands-on laser course includes hair reduction, IPL and vascular treatments. Each student will complete 10 procedures, with 24 hours per procedure, as required by the licensing bureau.

Microneedling (A, C, AS)

Microneedling is a procedure that uses a bunch of tiny needles to puncture the epidermis. This process works to rejuvenate your skin by boosting collagen production, which in turn reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines and improves the overall texture of your skin.

Skin Classic (A, C, AS)

An alternative to laser treatments, this advanced modality uses high frequency sound waves to treat minor irregularities in the epidermis, including telangiectasia, cherry angiomas, keratosis, fibromas, skin tags, hyper pigmentation, milia, sebaceous hyperplasia and acne pimples.

Considered a “non-invasive facelift”, microcurrent is an effective tool for lifting muscle and reducing puffiness in facial tissues. Along with fluid-draining and contour-enhancing side effects, this low-grade electrical current helps to “train” facial muscles to appear more lifted and firm.

Brazilian Wax (A, C, AS)

Brazilians are one of the most requested services in salons and spas. Everyone will have an opportunity to participate in performing a Brazilian waxing service using hard and strip wax.
*Must provide your own model (hair must be at least 1/4″ long)
Theory: Includes sanitation and disinfection, direction of hair growth, positioning yourself and your client, application and removal for maximum efficiency, and client assist techniques for hard wax removal to provide the client with a comfortable waxing experience.
Practical: Participate in performing a Brazilian waxing service.

Sugaring, a form of hair removal that dates back to ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Greece uses a sugar paste consisting of sugar, lemon, and water to extract hair from the root.

Also called Epidermal Leveling or Blading, is a safe, effective form of manual exfoliation, using a sterile surgical blade. It represents the latest in skin rejuvenation techniques.
Epidermal Leveling safely removes the top layers of dead skin cells, leaving the skin immediately suppler, smoother and more vibrant. In addition, the procedure removes the very fine vellus (“baby” or “peach fuzz”) hairs that waxing often misses.
The process reduces acne scarring, uneven pigmentation and fine lines, is suitable for both men and women, and can be performed on the guest’s first visit. It is also effective in treating rosacea and pre-cancerous cells. Most people notice marked improvements in the texture and appearance of their skin immediately, making it an ideal “special event” procedure.
Epidermal Leveling can be performed alone, or in conjunction with other treatments, such as chemical peels or laser rejuvenation procedures. The Epidermal Leveling process is safe for pregnant or nursing patients. It is also an effective form of facial depilation for guests who are contraindicated for waxing.
This hands-on class provides professional training, which is essential to performing the procedure safely and effectively. Attendees will also receive Epidermal Leveling tools, and a certificate.

Pure Aesthetics students learn the Heated Stone Facial as part of their Aesthetics Program. This workshop is scheduled as needed for groups of salon and/or spa professionals who are seeking advanced training.
Heated and chilled basalt river stones, crystals, and semiprecious gemstones are gently placed on acupressure points to release healing and balancing energies, drawing upon the restorative, beautifying and relaxing powers of aromatherapy. The magic of this treatment indulges all the senses. Add this amazing treatment to your menu and generate more revenue and repeat clients.

The Essential Oils for Wellness/Green Cleaning class is a fun, hands-on workshop that helps you discover the power of plant oils. Learn how to use essential oils to promote optimal wellness for both yourself and your family. We will sample over 40 oils and discuss their many everyday uses. Students will also learn about environmental toxins in everyday cleaning products and how to simply and inexpensively make your own products at home.

Pure Aesthetics students learn the Herbal Wrap as part of their Aesthetics Program. This workshop is scheduled as needed for groups of salon and/or spa professionals who are seeking advanced training.
Add this relaxing aromatic treatment to your spa menu. The herbal wrap will help relieve sore muscles and joints. This detoxification treatment is also a wonderful way to fight off the cold and flu season. All participants will have the opportunity to receive and give a wrap. Participants will also receive a therapeutic herbal blend to take home.

Microdermabrasion offers a multi-step process to skin restoration without the pain, cost and recuperation time associated with modern-day acid peels and laser treatments. Microdermabrasion is the step between a chemical peel and cosmetic surgery with immediate benefits for both the client and practitioner. The procedure has been called the “Lunch Time Peel” because it takes only 20-40 minutes and allows clients to return to work immediately.

This is geared toward skincare and beauty consultants, however anyone in the salon/spa industry could also benefit.

Cancellation Policy:
Because of demand and limited number of seats available in our workshops, cancellations made 7 or more days prior to the start of a workshop may have their non-refundable registration fee moved to another workshop. If requested, cancellations made less that seven days prior to the workshop will be allowed a 100% refund minus a $150 non-refundable deposit. “No-Shows” and cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to the start of the workshop will forfeit the full tuition paid. Workshops under $50 have a $20 deposit. Workshops that cost more than $50 have a $50 deposit, except for the Lash Extension Workshop, which is a $150 deposit. Payments may be made by cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. Full payment is due one business day prior to date of workshop, except for the Lash Extension Workshop, which is due one week before the workshop date. Workshops subject to cancellation if enrollment is low. If Pure Aesthetics cancels a workshop for any reason, a full refund will be given.
